Finde so ein "Story"-Feature wie bei Instagram gar nicht so übel, als soziale Stimulation – also die beschränkte Überlebensdauer eines Postings gekoppelt mit "kann nur über eine direct message geliked/kommentiert werden". Gibt es irgendwas Ähnliches im Fediverse bzw. seinen freien Verwandten?

Jedes Mal wenn ich einen weiteren Anlauf mit Steam wage: Also eigentlich wollte ich ja nur mal kurz in ein Spiel reinschauen und nicht meinen Kernel neu kompilieren.

Most days feel the same. I lack input, the experience of new things, I only get computer screens & the ever same streets to take the same walk in (anything beyond would require viral public transport). My brain rarely can focus on anything but the virus anymore. This was a year mostly lost, stolen from a life that's too short anyway. With the slow vaccine delivery timeline, 2021 promises to be a similar waste. Sitting home alone here for NYE, I see no reason to celebrate, & little to hope for.

Calculated that I spent ~98% of my time since March alone (most of that holed up in my single-room apartment, working from home, etc.); & when not, it was mostly just meeting one person outside at a distance. Life as a single felt frustratingly lonely to me before; it only got harder with the ongoing absence of any social mingling activities. ZoomJitsiEtc only make me feel more isolated, as if talking through an aquarium to photographs far away. How do people escape singledom during all of this?
